![]() So if you have something like add trigger + homing + bouncing burst -> Giant Firebolt, every tick that it hits an enemy will summon a Giant Firebolt as it slices through an enemy for 1 charge. Every tick of it piercing something triggers the spell payload repeatedly and only uses 1 charge. Just to add to this, add trigger can also be a ridiculous damage boost if you slap piercing on the projectile. If you know any other uses or whatever, or if you don't know what this all means and need help, just comment, I just wanna discuss this. This doesn't help much in late game though.Ĭorrect me if I am wrong, I don't think add timer has any uses except its main purpose. ![]() For example matter eater long distance cast (which has a natural expiration trigger so not a good example, but I really don't see any uses except if you can only find this one instead of add trigger). What's useful with expiration trigger is that using a modifier on a expiration trigger projectile that doesn't trigger anything doesn't use charges (and maybe mana if add expiration trigger is used, not sure). I think you can also divide it to get modifiers it would cast multiple times, though those divides would use mana so it would be a better idea to divide mu between add trigger and the projectile instead. ![]() I couldn't find a detailed discussion about it so here we go.Īdd trigger, which is the best of add spells since it removes the mana cost and charge usage (cast delay and recharge are still applied) of any modifiers/passives/divides/greek letters put in between and including the projectile that it added trigger to, is a very useful spell both early and endgame.
